PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: AVIATION SAFETY & LAW- Extensive expertise
and experience in airline operations, flight safety, accident investigation/prevention,
CVR transcription and Analysis, FDR animation, human (communication) factors,
and related legal issues.

AeroVox Forensic Investigations & Research, Inc., Charlotte, NC, 1995-Present.
President of accident investigation and safety consulting firm providing independent
accident analysis and regulatory compliance services to aviation law firms and aircraft
operators. Acted as expert consultant and/or litigation support specialist in major crash cases.
Extensive discovery experience. Wrote briefs, memos, requests for production, analyzed
evidence in prep for trial. Investigations included numerous 121 accidents.
Nationally known expert witness in aircraft accident investigation with specialty
in CVR analysis, transcription, forensic audio, and video animation/photo/graphics.
Appeared as expert analyst on broadcast television and interviewed in print media.
Instructor in aviation law and additional courses at Embry-Riddle Aero. Univ. ('08-'09)

CCAIR (d/b/a US Airways Express), Charlotte, NC, 2000-2002.
Director of Safety & Regulatory Compliance supervising all aspects of operational safety,
including flight, cabin, ground, and maintenance. Also responsible for directing compliance
with all applicable laws and regulations. Restructured company safety department/procedures,
implementing a number of programs typically found only at major airlines such as computerized
incident trend analysis, etc. Managed all accident and incident investigations. Responsible for
risk assessment and management. Assisted outside counsel. Served as company liaison to FAA,
NTSB, DOD, etc.

Chautauqua Airlines (d/b/a US Airways & Trans World Express), IND, 2000.
Director of Flight Safety responsible for the development and management of all flight and
cabin safety programs, incident & hazard reporting/analysis, audits, and accident 
investigation. Designed many new safety initiatives, policies, and procedures.

American Eagle (Flagship) Airlines, RDU, MIA, BNA, 1991-1995.
Line Pilot on Jetstream 32. Flew throughout Eastern U.S., Midwest, and Bahamas. Served
Allied Pilots Association safety and communications committees. Analyzed AE Flight 3379
CVR at NTSB laboratory while member of accident investigation team.

Piedmont Aviation, Charlotte/Monroe, NC, 1989-1991.
Charter Pilot and Senior Flight Instructor for major airline-owned (US Air) FBO. PIC qualified
on Be-58, SIC on Be-90, 100, & 200 King Airs. CFIIME in full line of Beechcraft, Piper, and
Cessna aircraft. Instituted computer-based training.
